Gather wash dry fold put away
I go through this routine everyday
When I need a towel
My mood becomes foul
Where they’ve disappeared to no one will say

This disregard for my needs was a shock
A laundry strike was to take place on my clock
Clean towels just for me
Kept under lock and key
If they do laundry they’ll have their own stock

I’ve tried this tactic many times before
There’s no winning in this laundry war
Teens will be teens
As they’ve always been
This will go on until they’re teens no more.

Enough is Enough
When was the last time you were ready to throw in the proverbial towel? Did you end up letting go, or decided to fight on anyway?

  1. For some reason this reminded me of “gather ye rosebuds while ye may.” Gather your wash clothes while ye may, cleanliness is a-fleeting?”

GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,
    Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles to-day
    To-morrow will be dying.

Isn’t that just the cheeriest sentiment?
