Elysian Fields

An ideal… Utopia brings one image to mind. I may be mistaken, but I believe this image was planted in my mind when I was a small child, by a marketing firm.

Two inhabit these Elysian Fields:

An etherial woman in a
Long white summer dress
Billowing in the constant breeze
Long lush wheaten locks
Translucent ivory skin
A picture of serenity

An illusory man wears an
Unbuttoned untucked crisp white shirt
Loose fitting low slung khakis
Shirt sleeves and pants rolled up
Thick inky black mane
Grazes his shoulders
Their perfectly pedicured bare feet
Ankle deep in wild flowers
Covering every square inch of earth
It never rains and yet
Rainbows are copious
Always early evening in early summer…

My ideal world is a Summer’s Eve commercial from the 1970’s.
