BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP
List all known profanities (I think I know them all)
Put dogs out, start coffee
Let dogs in, make smoothie
Wash vitamins down with smoothie while ironing shirt
Turn lizard’s heat light on
Toss in crickets, feed crickets
Take note of empty fridge
List all known profanities (I make up some new ones)
Shower, apply face
Obviously minimal time spent on hair—
(hair will never be a priority)
And I’m off… to work
In car audio French 2 lesson 8
(je parle un peu le fransais)
Park at bus stop 4. Text kids “r u up?”
Chit chat and pretend to work
Peek at daily prompt at 0720,
Let those thoughts simmer on the back burner
Down time from pretending to work
Means work on post content
If ideas flow publish, otherwise finish at home.
Text kids “r u home”
Head home
Audio French 2 lesson 8 repeated (j’essaye!)
Stop for food
At home:
Damage control (“Who put marbles in the garbage disposal?”, “Whose dishes are these?”, etc.)
List all known profanities (preferably silently)
Attempt to parent calmly
Feed and water: teens, dogs, lizard, crickets, me (why do I come after the crickets?)
Turn on my heated mattress pad remove face
Read, stare at ceiling
Ahhh…sleep
BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEP

Nope. Yours is perfect the way it is. It is good for us to see the life of a mom through your eyes. Makes us realize we have no right to gripe–well, except for physical infirmities, but for the time being (knock wood) I have none of those. I have only admiration for your taking the time to blog. I would miss your absence. I really am going to reblog this, but want to wait until your posting is well down in the Reader Seems a waste to repost it so close to your own.

Isn’t there something truly grounding watching lizards swallow crickets? I miss that.

I’m too empathetic for lizard ownership. I feel bad for the crickets. The lizard belongs to my son who has lost interest.

Oh no! Well, maybe you can give him away? I had one in my early years of teaching. I used him to keep their attention for my lessons. He did prove a bit hard to care for though so I know what you mean.

Damien, maybe you should clarify whether you are referring to the crickets or the son . . . for give-away. 😀 😀 I’m just joking, Lydia.
