Perjury: the offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation.
What is the fine for perjury? Well, it appears you either get two weeks in prison or a judicial appointment.
George Papadopoulos, Trump’s first coffee boy (wink, wink), is serving a 2 week sentence for lying to the FBI. He was also ordered to pay a $9,500 fine, perform community service, and he must be on his best behavior for one year. GP is the first to be sentenced in Robert Mueller’s probe into Russia’s election interference.
GP’s lie was regarding the timing of his contact with Joseph Mifsud, a professor with “deep Russian contacts”, who told him about Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton.
GP initially said the contact was made before he joined the Trump campaign; the truth was he met Mifsud as a member of the Trump campaign. The consequence of his perjury was slowing the investigation enough to prevent the feds arrest of Mifsud before he fled the US. He will likely not return.
GP’s attorney argued his client was a young fool who didn’t understand. Playing dumb to get out of jail. Hmm… the man is 31.
The fine for perjury varies, depending on many factors. GP’s lies had a lasting consequence but resulted in a short 2 week sentence. One can only hope his sentence is light because, in exchange, he is sharing some pertinent information.
Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, has perjured himself on several occasions. Last week proof, some in the form of emails he and his supporters tried to keep confidential, was made public.
He lied in 2002, 2004, and 2006, in order to be confirmed as an appellate judge. It worked, so he lied again last week with hopes of becoming the next SCOTUS.
Aside from the lie that awarded him his 2006 judicial appointment, he lied on a variety of other subjects. (I won’t repeat myself. Refer to previous posts.)
The Democratic Coalition has filed a criminal complaint against Brett Kavanaugh for perjury in his Congressional testimony. See the complaint below.
BRETT KAVANAUGH CRIMINAL COMPLAINT to DEPARTMENT of JUSTICE
If the GOP majority Senate ignores Kavanaugh’s felonious behavior and moves forward with this nominee, he will likely be impeached not only as SCOTUS but, he will lose the appellate judicial appointment he received in 2006 based on lies.
The following is a list of GOP Senators who claim to be undecided with regards to their SCOTUS vote. Call them all… everyday.

Thanks for the contact information. I know how to reach my own reps, but mostly never need to since they are sane.

You’re welcome! My senators are Democrats who have been pretty vocal, so I must annoy others. 😉

Sigh…and yet these people will complain all the time about the “lying Clintons” etc. The irony is thick here.
