So Much Politics

“Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government: When this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved.” ~Benjamin Franklin

I have started several posts over the past few days, and none have inspired me to hit publish.

Not among them—

* Trump and a porn star have sex. (How many porn stars?) I couldn’t care less, and I’m not in the least surprised; he’s a pig. He’s never been faithful to a wife, and I’d be worried about std’s if I were #3.

I wish the sexual assault allegations against Trump held the public’s interest like this does.

* Also not on the list inspiring me to write is news that Fatty McTrumpster’s doctor lied about his weight and, if the doctor lied about that, the entire physical was an elaborate performance… but at least it was a comedy.

These three guys are the same height and claim to be the same weight… on earth, with gravity. Muscle is heavier than fat, still, someone is lying. Can you guess which?

* I was going to write on various opinions I’ve read regarding Steve Bannon’s testimony with the House Judiciary Committee. Everyone has a theory about this.

If I could pick one that I’d most like to be true, I choose— Bannon is part of a plan that has been set up by Mueller, and Trump fell into it bigly by sending word to Bannon not to answer questions. More obstruction of justice to add to the rest.

I also like the idea that— Bannon cited executive privilege as his reason for refusing to answering questions, but he was referring to Mueller who also falls under “executive privilege.” I have no idea if that’s true, but I like it.

It follows the idea that— Bannon’s refusal to answer was a way to keep Mueller’s investigation private from Nunes and other Trump/Russia participants who are on the “committee.”

But this story has been written by better and more qualified people than I, so I let it go.

* What I did begin was a post about Donald Trump’s claim that he isn’t a racist. The denial and deaf ears of Republicans who were in the room, but will not admit they heard Trump call Haiti and Africa “shit-hole countries.”

Then yesterday—

Trump administration bars Haitians from U.S. visas for low-skilled work…”

Only Haitians were removed from the list of about 80 countries to whom H2A and H2B visas are regularly granted.

I didn’t finish writing about this, because what can you add to that? My last post mentioned Trump’s descendants came to this country unskilled.

An artist projected a message on Trump Hotel DC.

* Then finally, along with everyone else, I started working on a post about Trump’s assault on the free press.

I was inspired, as was everyone else, by his “Fake News Awards.”

What kind of a president does something so insulting to the free world, and to the press.

I was going to compare Trump to Roman Emperor Nero, Frances Maximilien Robespierre, Hitler, Stalin.

I was going to add that the Committee to Protect Journalists released a list of the world’s worst oppressors of free press, and guess who topped the list— Donald Trump was followed by Vladimir Putin, Tayyip Erdoğan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

I had been writing about this, but then I saw Republican Senator Flake speech. He covered it all. It was an excellent speech, given by a man who votes with Trump 90% of the time, but a good speech. Words.

I only would have added that this is not only Donald Trump attacking the free press. This is a conspiracy to undermine the truth. Trump has wealthy friends who want to keep him in office. They dictated much of the tax plan, and want to reap the benefits, and without the press Trump would stand a better chance at re-election. Like Trump and “fox and friends” said, 90% of Trump news is bad.

Trump’s friend Rupert Murdoch, owns Fox, and recently acquired the Wall Street Journal. According to Reuters, Murdoch has been in contact with AT&T, the owners of Time Warner/CNN. Murdoch wants to buy CNN- but AT&T is not interested in selling.

Now Trump’s Justice Department has recommended AT&T sell either its DirecTV unit or Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting unit – which includes CNN – if they want antitrust approval. A little strong arming is under way.

Nazis controlled half the newspapers published in Germany by 1944.

“If men are to be precluded from offering their sentiments on a matter, which may involve the most serious and alarming consequences that can invite the consideration of mankind, reason is of no use to us; the freedom of speech may be taken away, and dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep, to the slaughter.”

~George Washington

Only 90% negative is too kind for Trump.

Being, Like, Really Smart

If I were to write a book about myself it would be titled “Being, Like, Really Smart.” It’s important to itemize one’s attributes, otherwise some of them might be overlooked by others, even those people with whom one has constant contact.

Or maybe I’d title my book“A Very Stable Genius”

To be safe, I would also point out how, like, funny I am, and I’d have to say, like, how bigly disappointed I am that People Magazine, like, has overlooked me so, like, many times for their “Worlds Most Beautiful People” issue… me with my winsome smile and my… I’m beautiful, because I don’t know I’m beautifulness… etc.

But Donald, I wish one of your advisers would point out that most—

  1. Successful businessmen don’t file bankruptcy six times, nor do
  2. Smart people say things such as— “being, like, really smart.”

Also, why is Donald Trump still obsessed with Hillary Clinton? It’s a bit Norman Bates, don’t you think, constantly talking to and about his dead his mother? — What was the movie? Ah yes, Psycho.

What has prompted today’s twitter theme? Hollywood Reporter columnist Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” (Henry Holt & Co.)

The book claims almost every member of Trump’s senior White House staff has, on repeated occasions, said Trump is “like a child.”

Billionaire Rupert Murdoch, who had never been a friend or fan of Trump’s until he secured the presidential win, is quoted, after a phone call with Trump, saying— “What a fucking moron.” I believe that is Rex Tillerson’s pet name for Donald as well.

The book quotes Steve Bannon, Trump’s former right-wing, right-hand man, who left the White House to return to his former employment with far right propaganda publication “Breitbart,” which is funded by the billionaire Mercer Family. They also funded much of Trump’s campaign, with hopes of tax relief to end their ongoing dispute with the IRS.

In the book, Bannon gives Trump a “33.3 percent chance of impeachment, a 33.3 percent chance of resignation in the shadow of the 25th amendment (which allows for the forcible removal of an insane president from office), and a 33.3 percent chance that he might limp to the finish line on the strength of liberal arrogance and weakness.”

To which Trump replied—

Trump’s attourney filed a cease and desist notice against Steve Bannon, who had been confirming the validity of the derogatory comments he made in the book. Also served cease and desist notices were the book’s publisher, and the author of said book.

Trump’s lame attempt to ban “Fire and Fury” resulted instead in an earlier than planned publication date. It was released Friday, and sold out in stores and on line in record time.

Trump’s tweets have prompted legal action against him as well—

Clearly Donald needs help with his name calling. Schoolyard taunts lose their punch when recycled.

It’s all fun and games until somebody loses an eye… or sets off a nuke.

Trump is Back at “Work”

After a week spent at Mar-a-Lago, the tab picked up by tax payers, Trump is back at his phone furiously “working,” eight tweets and counting in two hours time. This grueling schedule must be putting a high level of strain on his soft, fat, tiny hands.

The words are meaningless, because he knows not what he says. He is a fool,

Here we have Donald Trump, who invited Russian diplomats into the Oval Office, giving them highly classified information, calling for someone to be jailed for doing that which his children are currently guilty of.

Weird that he would hurl accusations under these circumstances… but consistent.

This also brings up a yet to be answered question— Why does Jared Kushner, who continues to lie by omission on security clearance applications, still have security clearance? Here we see Trump quoting Fox News, his propaganda press, because this is where he gets his daily security briefings. No one will let him play with real information anymore.

In this tweet we see Trump attempting to excuse his unpopular trillion dollar tax cut for corporations. These corporations already sit on trillions of dollars in assets, yet do not reinvest in the economy.

A small number of corporations announced—token bonuses will be paid to underpaid employees in time to take a corporate tax write off for 2017. Said employees, the recipients of the bonuses, will in turn be taxed on their pittance at the higher bonus tax rate.

This gift also serves the purpose of making CEOs appear benevolent before they reward themselves with real bonuses, hundreds of $$ millions in cash and stock in April, which is their typical behavior. To quote the modern day American poet and philosopher Sponge Bob Square Pants, this is “Major Stupidity and General Nonsense”— (and I might add), under the command of President Bone Spurs. Ridiculous, but here it is, Trump is taking credit for aviation safety. Any good news you read you can ascribe to Potus. Any bad news you may impute to President Obama or Hillary.

Has anyone noticed the NYT’s recent change of tone? They’ve become pro-Trump, making me think reporters were under duress, possibly blackmailed into favorable and false reports on Trump.

Now we see Trump’s billionaire backers have been at work. They bought a reputable newspaper and it is now as unreliable as FOX news. This is what the Nazis did, and this is what Putin does.

God help us, he’s still at it.

This is Orange Country

Well Trump fans, I’m calling you out. No more Miss Congeniality here, not today anyway. The tax scam has passed the senate. Are you happy? I think you are, because your limited cognitive ability hasn’t allowed you to understand what just happened. Now the bill will go through the perfunctory step of a GOP majority House vote and then we, the middle class, will scramble to figure out where the money is going to come from when our insurance premiums spike. Who is going to cover that which won’t be covered by the Russian Oligarchs, like Mikhaïl Fridman, who have invested so heavily in American healthcare, like Spectrum, the Devos family owned insurance company?

I know who will be scrambling and I’ll tell you. It is the middle class. That includes you white ladies who voted for a sexual predator, tipping the scale. I can say that because I am a white woman who did not vote in this evil clown administration. I won’t expound on that thought, but I am thinking them all.

I’d like to thank my “friends” here by name, but they don’t read my posts because they only read propaganda and watch Fox, as such, they know not what they did. They said— “What the hell, how much worse can he be.” Maybe when they visit their tax guy, he or she will explain it to them using numbers.

As you see, I am beyond angry. Politicians, republicans to be specific, have shown their cards and they are all Jokers. If this isn’t the beginning of the end of the GOP I’ll eat my voter registration card.

I do believe this is a temporary situation. November of 2018 will be when payback begins with a sizable special election. Reckoning will continue for years, because that’s how long it will take to undo the damage Trump’s GOP has done with their free reign in these long twelve months.

The problem is, by then a good chunk of American tax payer money will be gone…hidden offshore, millions more Americans will be without healthcare, and many people will have died over this.

GOP politicians won’t care if they’re voted out of office because none of them will need to work. They will all be made rich with this tax scam/ healthcare bomb. They have benefactors, the likes of the Mercers and the Koch brothers, to fund their futures.

What to do now?

GOP – Taxes and History

I have a simple question, one I would ask my children in a situation where facts stated are proven wrong—

If this is innocent, why do you feel you have to lie?

There is a pattern:

  • Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. Introduced “trickle down economics,” giving all the money to the richest people, telling the rest of us the money would be invested in jobs and the economy then trickle down to us…and everyone would be fat and happy. Instead it led to the collapse of S&L, resulting in a $500 billion bailout, and a record deficit.
  • Democrat Bill Clinton stepped in, increased corporate taxes and taxes on the wealthy, which is why they hated him, but he turned our federal “deficit” into a surplus.
  • George W Bush was (kind of but not really) elected. He took the surplus he was left with and gave tax cuts to corporations and billionaires, and initiated oil wars under false pretenses. We watched Wall Street and greedy CEO’s stuff their pockets and jump with their golden parachutes as the economy collapsed, leading to a $1 trillion bailout, and the end result was a new record deficit.
  • Democrat Barack Obama raised corporate taxes and taxes on billionaires, added restrictions against predatory lenders in order to prevent another such collapse, and the economy recovered. While we weren’t left with a surplus, we did have the largest deficit cut in history.

Donald J (ackass) tRump is attempting to keep the pattern going. One of his first presidential orders was to remove the restrictions that had been put in place to prevent corporate giants and banks from repeating history.

Now he is pushing a tax plan that will increase the national deficit $1.5 trillion. His tax plan takes money meant for healthcare, for children, and the elderly, and gives it to people who already own the bulk of the economy. Thees are the same people who hide their money offshore in places like the Cayman Islands as to not pay taxes. This tax plan is blatant if you look at it. The numbers Orin Hatch and Paul Ryan give as examples are wrong, yet they spew indignation when Democrats point that out and state the truth. This is the rich pillaging the economy… again.

This bill might start with meager decrease in taxes for some, but over time increase for the middle-class from 12 percent to 25 percent. Additionally, any tax cut you may have gained will be spent on healthcare premium increases, and cuts in coverage.

Despite what they say, with this bill, in 2027 a family with children with an income of $40-50K will have a $240 TAX INCREASE
A childless single person w/no kids with an income of $1,000,000+ will receive a $188,770 TAX CUT.

Paul Ryan is using examples in his tax talk which imply the middle class are those who earn an annual income of $450,000.
According to ‘Business Insider,’ the media. Household income in the United States is $52,250.

According to the Associated Press, a non partisan assessment shows the GOP Tax plan will ultimately raise taxes on 50% of Americans.

I was raised knowing the GOP works for “the man” – the Mercer’s, Koch brothers, several Russian oligarchs, and the like, who have a vested interest in our healthcare system and banks- they own the GOP. How they manipulate so many to believe otherwise is astounding. Unless you are wealthy you are not benefitting from a republican leadership and you are doing us all a disservice by voting with the GOP. Open your history books! You are being manipulated by fear and racism. The GOP’s hands are in your pockets.

The Republican Party is currently defending a pedophile, whose predilection is such common knowledge he is banned from a mall in his home state of Alabama, because they need his vote for another tax cut for corporations and billionaires to start this cycle again.

They call themselves the party of “family values”…a family of grifters perhaps.

Wealth Gap and Tax Cuts — A Poem

In the United States the richest

1% of the population hold

38.6% of the wealth…what’s best

Compared to a decade ago

Back before the 2007 recession

That same top group held 33.7%

Know that, and I’ll ask you a question

Do they need a tax cut of even a cent?

Consider– That 1% group at the top

Have more than we 90% at back of the line

Money never “trickles down”–so stop

Believing it as your wealth declines

As you struggle to pay for food and rent

Know the gap: between 10% wealthiest

And the middle class is over 1000%

1000 more for the top 1%… greed at it’s best

When they take tax cuts for themselves soon

And rob us of our health care

Steal retirement pensions and 401Ks

Think about those CEOs who dare

To earn in a single hour

What their average employee

Néophytes with no earning power

Must work over a month to see

When you pull out your credit card to buy

Your groceries for the week

Remember the tax cut the GOP try

To give the rich– whose donations they seek

Owed by we fools the 90% who pay tax

73% of the debt, the nations bank notes

Those whores who won’t guard our backs

Know their names when you cast your votes
