GOP – Taxes and History

I have a simple question, one I would ask my children in a situation where facts stated are proven wrong—

If this is innocent, why do you feel you have to lie?

There is a pattern:

  • Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. Introduced “trickle down economics,” giving all the money to the richest people, telling the rest of us the money would be invested in jobs and the economy then trickle down to us…and everyone would be fat and happy. Instead it led to the collapse of S&L, resulting in a $500 billion bailout, and a record deficit.
  • Democrat Bill Clinton stepped in, increased corporate taxes and taxes on the wealthy, which is why they hated him, but he turned our federal “deficit” into a surplus.
  • George W Bush was (kind of but not really) elected. He took the surplus he was left with and gave tax cuts to corporations and billionaires, and initiated oil wars under false pretenses. We watched Wall Street and greedy CEO’s stuff their pockets and jump with their golden parachutes as the economy collapsed, leading to a $1 trillion bailout, and the end result was a new record deficit.
  • Democrat Barack Obama raised corporate taxes and taxes on billionaires, added restrictions against predatory lenders in order to prevent another such collapse, and the economy recovered. While we weren’t left with a surplus, we did have the largest deficit cut in history.

Donald J (ackass) tRump is attempting to keep the pattern going. One of his first presidential orders was to remove the restrictions that had been put in place to prevent corporate giants and banks from repeating history.

Now he is pushing a tax plan that will increase the national deficit $1.5 trillion. His tax plan takes money meant for healthcare, for children, and the elderly, and gives it to people who already own the bulk of the economy. Thees are the same people who hide their money offshore in places like the Cayman Islands as to not pay taxes. This tax plan is blatant if you look at it. The numbers Orin Hatch and Paul Ryan give as examples are wrong, yet they spew indignation when Democrats point that out and state the truth. This is the rich pillaging the economy… again.

This bill might start with meager decrease in taxes for some, but over time increase for the middle-class from 12 percent to 25 percent. Additionally, any tax cut you may have gained will be spent on healthcare premium increases, and cuts in coverage.

Despite what they say, with this bill, in 2027 a family with children with an income of $40-50K will have a $240 TAX INCREASE
A childless single person w/no kids with an income of $1,000,000+ will receive a $188,770 TAX CUT.

Paul Ryan is using examples in his tax talk which imply the middle class are those who earn an annual income of $450,000.
According to ‘Business Insider,’ the media. Household income in the United States is $52,250.

According to the Associated Press, a non partisan assessment shows the GOP Tax plan will ultimately raise taxes on 50% of Americans.

I was raised knowing the GOP works for “the man” – the Mercer’s, Koch brothers, several Russian oligarchs, and the like, who have a vested interest in our healthcare system and banks- they own the GOP. How they manipulate so many to believe otherwise is astounding. Unless you are wealthy you are not benefitting from a republican leadership and you are doing us all a disservice by voting with the GOP. Open your history books! You are being manipulated by fear and racism. The GOP’s hands are in your pockets.

The Republican Party is currently defending a pedophile, whose predilection is such common knowledge he is banned from a mall in his home state of Alabama, because they need his vote for another tax cut for corporations and billionaires to start this cycle again.

They call themselves the party of “family values”…a family of grifters perhaps.

**CALL your Senators today at: (202) 224 – 3121 Tell them to vote no to this tax bill.

Wealth Gap and Tax Cuts — A Poem

In the United States the richest

1% of the population hold

38.6% of the wealth…what’s best

Compared to a decade ago

~

Back before the 2007 recession

That same top group held 33.7%

Know that, and I’ll ask you a question

Do they need a tax cut of even a cent?

~

Consider– That 1% group at the top

Have more than we 90% at back of the line

Money never “trickles down”–so stop

Believing it as your wealth declines

~

As you struggle to pay for food and rent

Know the gap: between 10% wealthiest

And the middle class is over 1000%

1000 more for the top 1%… greed at it’s best

~

When they take tax cuts for themselves soon

And rob us of our health care

Steal retirement pensions and 401Ks

Think about those CEOs who dare

~

To earn in a single hour

What their average employee

Néophytes with no earning power

Must work over a month to see

~

When you pull out your credit card to buy

Your groceries for the week

Remember the tax cut the GOP try

To give the rich– whose donations they seek

Owed by we fools the 90% who pay tax

73% of the debt, the nations bank notes

Those whores who won’t guard our backs

Know their names when you cast your votes

Tax Cuts for the Wealthy Approved by GOP Senate

We Americans are easily distracted by Trump’s three ring circus, myself included, and that is when the GOP takes the opportunity to strike.

The GOP does not work for the American majority, they work for the extremely wealthy, and the corporate giants of America.

This past week, while master illusionist Trump was tweeting about uranium, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan were at work again. They work for a small faction of the population who in fact own the GOP.

The GOP heavy Senate approved the tax bill on Friday voting along party lines—

51 Republicans votes yes,
49 Democrats votes no.

The yeas have it.

Billionaires win again. Who?

The Koch brothers own the GOP, the GOP control Congress, and this is their tax plan.

Who are the Koch Brothers? Charles and David Koch own Koch Industries, the second-largest privately run business in America— among other things, the Koch brothers control 4000 miles of pipeline, they own oil refineries in Texas, Alaska, and Minnesota. The Koch brothers net worth increased by $12 billion last year bringing their total net worth to $80 billion…they don’t want to pay taxes, and they don’t want you to have health insurance.

Let’s not forget Trump’s benefactor Robert Mercer, he doesn’t like to pay taxes either, and he has an ongoing six billion dollar dispute with the IRS.

Republicans want to keep control of the House in 2018, so they’re offering up what they say is “tax cuts for everybody.” In reality, this tax cut is for corporate giants and billionaires, like the Koch brothers, and Robert Mercer, many of whom, with all the added loopholes, will end up paying no Federal taxes.

Paul Ryan promises the middle class will see “significant tax cuts.” As we learned when we read Paul Ryan’s healthcare plan— Paul Ryan is a liar. This tax code is the counterpart to his healthcare plan.

What we can expect with this tax plan— regardless of what Paul Ryan says, many middle class families will see an increase in their taxes, for example, standard deduction families take for each child will be capped. A family with three children will pay more. Small businesses will not benefit from the special deductions designed for the big guys either.

Remember the presidential debates when Clinton accused Trump of not paying taxes for the past twenty years? His response was “That makes me smart.”

Trump has demonstrated, on a daily basis, he isn’t the smartest guy in any room he occupies…by any stretch of the imagination. He can’t string a simple sentence together that would get past a third grade teacher without red slashes and circles. He is in fact, like his oil friend Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says, a f*c*ing moron. (Not my words🤐.) You don’t have to be smart to hire an accountant who knows how to work a system set up to work in your favor.

Tax laws are already rigged for the wealthy and for corporate America, and this new GOP tax code adds 4 trillion dollars to the deficit and cuts funding to Medicare and Medicaid

“We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to replace America’s failing tax codes,” ~Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

We are supposed to believe Mitch McConnell, the co-creator (along with Paul Ryan,) of the American Healtc Care Act? I don’t think so.

This new tax plan adds 4 trillion to the deficit, and still cuts Medicare and Medicaid funding. How is that possible? It is possible because billionaires will receive a get out of taxes free card.

With this rewritten GOP tax law, richest Americans pay lower tax rates than middle class families.

“This nasty and backwards budget greenlights cuts to Medicare and Medicaid in order to give a tax break to big corporations and the wealthiest Americans,” ~ Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

Trump promised to eliminate tax credits and deductions for large corporations who hide money in the Cayman Islands, and for “smart” billionaires to take deductions.

This tax bill is choc-full-o loopholes for billionaires. It will help multinationals ship jobs overseas, and corporate giants will still be allowed to hide money in the Cayman Islands.

Meanwhile small businesses pay in full.

Again, this plan ADDS 4 TRILLION to the deficit, yet cuts funding for Medicare and Medicaid.

It is time to fight back…AGAIN.

Donald Trump and Don Jr’s Legal Fees Paid by…RNC, Paid by…

The Republican National Committee has been picking up the legal fee tab for both Trumps, $500,000 in the past month alone.

The money in RNC’s coffers, funneled to Trump, are replenished by donations. Is there relevance in the knowledge of who these donors are? You decide for yourself.

To name a three:

  • Robert Mercer 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼 (his name keeps popping up)
  • Len Blavatnik, Soviet born billionaire and longtime partner of Viktor Vekselberg, who is one of the richest men in Russia and has close ties to the Kremlin. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Does it look suspicious to anyone else that Russian billionaires with ties to the Kremlin are funneling money to Trump via the RNC?

Does anyone see the irony that Russian Oligarchs are paying to defend the Trumps against allegations that the Trumps took part in Russian election meddling?

  • Lianbo Wang, who sells EB-5 Visas to wealthy Chinese donors, offering green cards affording permanent residency to those who invest at least $500,000. Might this be considered corruption?

I think the knowledge of who Trump’s benefactors are is relevant.
